It's a cookie, it's a granola bar, it's a cookie, it's a granola bar. No, they are both wrong, it's both! Transform an old recipe into a new classic by adding some texture to your favorite cookie with Grizzlies granola. Contrast the sweet chewy cookie with a delicious crunch. Enjoy, I know my kids will.
What you'll need
1 Cup butter, softened
1 1/2 Cup brown sugar
1/3 Cup granulated sugar
2 Eggs
1 T Vanilla
1 t Baking soda
1/2 t Salt
1 Cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 Cup All purpose flour
2 1/2 Cups Cherry Pecan Granola (any Grizzlies Brand granola will do)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 1
Cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
Step 2
Add eggs and combine, add vanilla. In medium size bowl whisk together dry
ingredients: flour, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
Slowly incorporate dry ingredients into wet ingredients until fully combined. Add granola and mix together. Add additional pecans and cherries if you’d like and stir in. Scoop dough on cookie sheet in desired size and bake for 9-12 minutes.
Serving
What do you want me to say here. Just eat one? Yeah, right, like thats going to happen. Serve by itself, or serve warm with a scoop of ice-cream. As long as you've got the ice-cream out, you might as well sandwich a scoop in the middle, roll in granola, and viola.
